The Dominican tradition combines contemplation with preaching. Studying truth to share it with others is the hallmark of Dominican spirituality.
History
St. Dominic founded the Order of Preachers in 1216 to combat heresy through preaching grounded in study and prayer. The Dominicans gave the Church St. Thomas Aquinas.

To contemplate and to share the fruits of contemplation through preaching, study, and the salvation of souls.
Vision of Holiness
Holiness is the pursuit of truth through study and contemplation, and the generous sharing of that truth through preaching and teaching.
