Biography
Teresa of Avila was a Spanish nun, mystic, and reformer of the Carmelite Order. Through her writings on prayer and the soul's journey to God, she became one of the greatest spiritual teachers in Church history. She established the Discalced Carmelite reform with St. John of the Cross.
